Magic: The Gathering

01 Getting started

Your Moxfield or Arena list, in a moment.

Paste the list or drop the .txt you export from Moxfield, Arena, MTGO or Archidekt. Cards come in with their set, their foil and their zone.

  • Commander, mainboard, sideboard and maybeboard, read from the list itself
  • Drag a card from EDHREC or Scryfall and it comes in with that same printing
  • Or start from an official precon and make it yours
  • Quick bar with ⌘K: type “4 bolt” and in go 4 copies
02 The editor

Stacks, grid or list, the way you are used to.

Group by type, colour, cost, rarity or tag, filter by role or by what you are missing, and drive the deck from the keyboard.

  • Tokens detected automatically from the cards in the deck
  • Edit the deck as text and review the changes before saving
  • Change history, on the public page too
  • Shortcuts: + and − for copies, m, s and b to move zones, f for foil, a to change the art

06 Share and play

Show it off, copy it and take it to the table.

Frequently asked questions

Is it free?

Yes. Building and editing decks, prices, legality, bracket, spiciness and combos are free with an account. Community public decks can be seen without one.

Can I bring my decks from Moxfield or Arena?

Yes: export the list from Moxfield, Arena, MTGO or Archidekt and paste it, or drop the .txt. Set, foil and zones are kept. Gatewatch doesn't read links from other sites: you need the list.

Which formats does it check?

Standard, Pioneer, Modern, Legacy, Vintage, Pauper, Commander and Brawl, with banned cards, copy limits and colour identity. In Draft, Sealed and Cube it warns about the 40-card minimum, and Casual has no limits.

Where do the prices come from?

From Cardmarket, in euros: lowest, trend and the change over 7 and 30 days, with foil prices for foil cards. The “cheapest art” adds up each card at its cheapest printing, the way price-capped tournaments count it.

How is the bracket worked out?

With the official bracket rules: we count Game Changers, two-card combos, mass land denial and extra turns, and the deck shows what pushes its bracket up. Set a target bracket and it warns you if you go over.
