For stores and clubs

Tournaments, TV screen and loyalty, in one panel.

Publish your events, check players in at the door, pair Swiss rounds or Commander pods and put the clock on the TV. Your players sign up from their phones and come back for their achievements and rewards.

You apply with your Gatewatch account. We review every application by hand and let you know by email.

Magic: The Gathering · Riftbound and Yu-Gi-Oh!: events and tournaments

01 Tournaments

Swiss or Commander pods, with a synced clock.

Pick one-on-one best of 1, 3 or 5, or pods of 3 or 4 players with cEDH, casual or your own scoring. Gatewatch pairs every round, hands out byes and keeps track of drops.

  • Players report their result from their phone and the opponent confirms it
  • In pods, if there's a dispute, you settle it from the panel
  • Top cut to top 4 or 8 one-on-one, and to top 4 or 16 in pods
  • Edit pairings, give byes by hand and add walk-ins without an account
02 Store screen

Put the tournament on the TV.

Open the tournament's public screen in the TV's browser and control it from the panel: a giant clock, pairings, standings, announcements, the top cut bracket and the podium at the end.

  • The round clock in real time, the same one players see
  • Pairings and standings that page through on their own
  • On-screen announcements in one tap: “5 minutes left in the round”, “Hand your results to the judge”…
  • From the top cut bracket to the champion's podium
03 Registrations

Check-in at the door, no paper lists.

Prepare the event as a draft, repeat it every week and publish it whenever you want. Registration can be open, by approval or closed; when it fills up, the waitlist kicks in and freed seats are filled automatically.

  • Check-in mode for the door, with no-shows and undo
  • For Magic, require a registered deck or set a deck price cap
  • Every player's deck at a glance, with its bracket and price
  • Message your registered players and export the list to CSV
04 Leagues

A Commander league for the whole season.

Create a casual league with season dates and add the pod tournaments you want. Extras like “first blood” or “eliminate the leader” score bonus points, and the standings have a public page.

  • Every pod tournament in the season, or just the ones you pick
  • Extras with their own points: first blood, eliminating a player, winning with a new commander…
  • Public standings to share with your players
05 Loyalty

Bring them back next week.

Create your store's achievements and missions, with 3D medals, and real rewards: a discount, a booster or whatever you decide. Players redeem them at the counter with a single-use QR code.

  • An attendance QR at the counter that changes every few seconds
  • Missions for events played, wins, top finishes or league points
  • Rewards with stock and an expiry date
  • An audit log with alerts to catch anyone trying to cheat
06 Store panel

One panel for your whole team, on your phone too.

The overview shows how full your events are and what's waiting on you. Your team signs in with their own accounts, as owner or staff, from a computer or a phone. Android and iOS apps with the same panel are coming soon.

  • Overview with average occupancy and “Waiting on you”
  • An owner and staff team, with email invitations
  • A public store page with opening hours, “open now”, map, events and calendar

Frequently asked questions

Which games can I run?

Magic: The Gathering, Riftbound and Yu-Gi-Oh!. Swiss tournaments and the screen work for all three; leagues, Commander pods, deck requirements and the price cap are Magic only.

How do I sign up my store?

Sign in with your Gatewatch account and fill in the application with your name and city (and your website or Instagram, if you like). We review it by hand and let you know by email. It works for stores and clubs, and the account that applies becomes the owner.

Do my players need an account?

To sign up and report results from their phones, yes, and it's free for them. Anyone who turns up without one can be added to the tournament as a walk-in, by name, and plays all the same.

What do I need for the screen?

A TV with a browser, or a computer connected to it. Open the tournament's public screen in full screen and control it from the panel.

Can my team help?

Yes. Invite your staff by email and each of them signs in with their own account: they can check players in, run the tournament and redeem rewards, but nobody can redeem their own.
