Frequently asked questions
Is it free? Do I need an account?
It's free and you don't need an account: open La Mesa and play. You only need one to take a seat from your phone with the QR code, play tournament tables and save games to your profile.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Open it once online and after that it works without internet. Card search, the QR connected table and the first load of the mode decks need a connection; the Comprehensive Rules work offline once you've opened them.
How many players fit?
2 to 10 on the same screen, with several table layouts. For Commander the starting life is 40, and you can set 20, 30 or any number you like.
How do I play Treachery?
Turn it on in La Mesa's settings with 4 to 8 players. La Mesa deals the roles with the official cards. At a connected table everyone sees their role on their phone; otherwise they peek at it on the screen by holding their seat. It can't be combined with Archenemy.
Can I use it at tournaments?
Yes. If your store runs the tournament on Gatewatch, open La Mesa from your pairing: the round clock shows up and, when you finish, you send the result and your opponent confirms it on their phone.
